Unlike Google, Yahoo has some limitation to browse a new site thoroughly. Therefore, it is unlikely for a new website to reach first position on yahoo search result page. However as a search engine yahoo is the second biggest search engine and it has loyal user on several countries.

Many have said that submitting your site to yahoo directory will improve your site position on Yahoo SERP (Search Engine Result Page), unfortunately this submission is not free. You will be charged $299 recurring annual fee to maintain your web listed in their directory.

However we still always have free alternative to improve our web position on yahoo SERP. I found the following tips. and I will share those tips to you as well. You only requires to have Yahoo account. If you have yahoo email, then you are ready to use this tips.

First: Add your blog feed to MyYahoo. This blog feed will notify the crawler from Yahoo to index your website as soon as you publish a new post.

Second: Add your feed’s url on yahoo live bookmark, MyWeb, and import all of your post by using Import via RSS feature.

Third: Don’t forget to utilize Yahoo Site Explorer for SEO advantage. Add your URLs on site explorer and validate them. Adding the URL of your blog feed is also useful. This site explorer is similar with Google webmaster tools.
